Tie Tying With Ty

This is a late birthday/christmas present for our dear friend Bishop/Dr/Brother/James Lamoreaux. Anyway else who struggles with tie tying can also enjoy.

Since we were in Utah for almost 4 weeks over Christmas break, Tyler was worried that I wouldn't want to go home with him. He thought I'd get too caught up in the family festivities and remember the luxuries of being around family that I would forget the quite happy life we had in Tennessee.  To help persuade me to go home he started, "chalking up points for Tennessee." Unfortunately for him I then started, "chalking up points for Utah." Here's part of our running tally.

Chalk one up for Utah: A white Christmas (my dream come true)
Chalk one up for Tennessee: Our church building is closer to our home than it is in Utah. We had to walk 3 blocks in Utah instead of 2.
Chalk one up for Utah: A full cast for the Christmas nativity
Chalk one up for Tennessee: Lucas caught the horrible cold that was going around. He was sick Christmas day and the following week. Had we not been in Utah he wouldn't have been around all that sickness.

Chalk one up for Utah: Luke was never left to play alone. Plus he had way more than 2 adoring fans.

Chalk one up for Utah: The mohawk was tamed.
Chalk one up for Utah: Lucas had a bonus birthday party with cookies & milk and several gifts.

Chalk one up for Utah: Lucas had his best first Christmas ever! Thank you family.

Lucas Boy

This post is mostly unnecessary. It's loaded with pictures of Lucas for our family to see. However, we will be in Utah in one week exactly and there will be no need for pictures then. As if you won't see and HEAR enough of him in a few days, here are some recent happening to keep us virtually connected for only ONE more week.

Lucas pretending like it's fall weather. Truthfully it's been at least 70 degrees all week.

Is his mohawk getting too big?

Our Thanksgiving day shared with 6! We were happy to have the Squire's and the Elders to share the day with.

We thought our tree was just perfect until Dennis and the Elders were taller than it.

We can no longer get a "normal" pic of Lucas. He sees the camera and gives us his cheesiest smile with squinted eyes. Please bless this is his new normal.
